Forms
The forms linked below are to request support in learning to use or access naloxone. Naloxone (also known by brand name Narcan) is a medication that should be given immediately if an opioid overdose is suspected. Naloxone:
- reverses the effects of an opioid overdose and restores breathing.
- does not have an effect and does not cause harm if given to someone who is not overdosing.
- cannot be used by the person overdosing to save themselves. By the time it’s needed, they will be unconscious.
Having community members trained to use and carry naloxone can – and does – save lives.
